Cable Pulley Simulation: Summary
Demo video showing the simulation as the cable with an initial velocity on one end falls under the influence of gravity and gradually slides. The simulations ran at 40 Hz in a Pentium 4 3.0 GHz PC with 1GB of RAM and GeForce 3 graphics card. The pulley consist of 13722 triangles and the cable with 100 particles was animated with mass-spring system with implicit Euler integration with robust collision detection and respose. The mass of each particle was set at 0.7 kg, the cable stifness at 1.38 10^6 N/m, gravity -10 m/s^2 and initial velocity at -2.0 m/s. |

The pulley consist of 13722 triangles and the funnel 11712 triangles and the cable with 250 particles was animated with mass-spring system with implicit Euler integration with robust collision detection and respose. The mass of each particle was set at 0.3 kg, the cable stifness at 1.38 10^6 N/m, gravity -10 m/s^2 and initial velocity at -1.5 m/s. |

Colliding Cloth Simulation: Summary
Demo video showing the case of a initially vertical cloth (20x20 particles) falling over a flat plane leading to numerous collisions and contacts between the folds. Our robust collision collision detection and response method is able to handle these cases very well. |
